There are many ways to watch TV shows and movies. Be it either DVD and Blu-rays you purchase and own, renting or purchasing digital copies, or paying a monthly subscription to a streaming service. Let’s discuss what options are out there and also a less commonly known option called Plex.
Plex is not only a service to watch free TV shows and movies directly from them, but you can also set up a media server that you control. You can load up DVDs you already own, stream to all your devices, share your media with family/friends and even set up your own DVR to record over-the-air or cable TV.
We will demo setting up a Plex Media Server from scratch and add some media to show how easy it can be.
